Mending Mama was formed through the pregnancy loss journey of our Founder and Executive Director, Brandy Kalani, a mother of four living children and four angel babies. After multiple pregnancy losses, a septic miscarriage nearly took her life and became a defining moment in her future.

After deciding to try to conceive again, doctors informed Brandy and her husband they had a 1% or less chance of conceiving or carrying a pregnancy to term, safely.

But God was not finished.

On Mother’s Day 2022, a prophetic word was spoken over her and others: “By this time next year, these wombs will be filled. Filled with strong boys, on fire for the Lord.” and against all medical odds, Brandy conceived again, and on Mother’s Day 2023, she introduced her newborn son, David, to the very person who had spoken that word — a living testimony of God’s faithfulness.

Through her healing, God placed a calling on Brandy’s heart to create a space for mothers walking through pregnancy loss. What began as a small support group quickly grew into a community of women longing to be seen, heard, and supported. From that act of obedience, Mending Mama was created.

Today, Mending Mama is a faith‑rooted, nonprofit grief and maternal‑wellness organization dedicated to ensuring no mama walks through loss alone. We provide free, trauma‑informed biblical support through:

Home and hospital visits
Educational resources
Community programs
Partnerships that expand access to practical and emotional care.

What began as one mother’s story of pain and redemption, has become a movement of hope, healing, and community.

Strengthened by our core team and our incredible volunteers, Mending Mama serves with hearts fully surrendered to the mission God has placed within us — to ensure no mama walks through loss alone.
